Cohort turns strangers into creative teams. Across multiple cities, we bring filmmakers, musicians, writers, actors, and artists together to create original work under real deadlines, exhibit it publicly, build lasting relationships, and come back to do it again.

What is Cohort?

Cohort runs Film Labs and creative events across New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and St. Louis. Members are placed into small randomized cohorts, given a creative prompt, and ship a finished project — a short film, an E.P., a body of photographic work — in two weeks.

Between labs, members keep using Cohort to run their independent projects: collaborative workspaces, an asset vault with proxies and version history, Kanban for pre-production, master notes, a review queue, and a member directory for finding crew.
