A group of friends from college meets up for dinner once a year to honor their friend Emily. Bill was her brother and has taken it the hardest for the past five years for obvious reasons. When Alice, Frankie and Mary, arrive they are surprised to meet an unfamiliar face: Essie. Bill is optimistic about introducing his new mystery friend to the group, but things do not go according to plan and the evening takes a turn when the girls learn who Essie really is.
